Who?
Tony Marinelli has been a Sandwich resident since 1980. In 1987 he established a very successful computer
business here on Cape Cod which covered the entire New England area. In 1993 he became Senior Pastor of
Calvary Chapel Cape Cod. He is a father of six wonderful children and grandfather of nine. He is 56 years old
and in 2007 was diagnosed with Leukemia (CLL).
What?
Tony Marinelli is fond of cycling. Therefore Anna, his daughter, organized a ride/walk fundraising event in 2009 and we are going to do it again for the third time. Walkers will do a 3.5 mile route, and bicyclers will ride 13.5 miles. Both routes are along the canal. The funds raised help with Tony's medical costs and home care expenses. The surgeries needed to repair the damage done by the PNP disease, and the cost of home care are substantial.
Where?
Walk from the Bourne Bridge entrance to the walking path on the canal to train bridge, and turn around.
